I’m so excited to finally bring to you my very ‘un-networking, networking’ events!
As a lot of people know, I am deeply passionate and a huge advocate in the power of connecting with fellow industry suppliers for many, many reasons. It can boost brand exposure for your business, increase recommendations to brides from your fellow professionals, generate new opportunities, build long lasting friendships, I mean the list really does go on. Remember that old adage, “It’s not what you know, it’s who you know!”. Well, for my first get together, I will be giving you 9 Benefits of Connecting in Business and in addition, we will also have a Q&A session, where you can pose questions prior to the evening and we will answer them together on the night.
The BIG difference with my get together’s is that there is no forced networking, no standing in a line talking to the person standing opposite you, no groups being forced together, no standing up and telling everybody in the room who you are and what you do. You can literally connect with who you want and if you would like to speak to somebody you don’t know and are a little uncomfortable about doing that, then I am more than happy to facilitate that conversation and similarly can suggest who it might be useful for you to speak to.
BUT, you have to show up! You can’t just say yes I’ll be there and not turn up on the day because you can’t be bothered to make the effort. And this is the sole reason why there is a cost for the ticket as I honestly know that if you have paid for something, you WILL be there. So, come and join me for a very informal, relaxed and most definitely ‘unnetworking’ get together.
For the month of March, my first get together will be held at The Cromwell Hotel in Stevenage, Hertfordshire on Wednesday 1st April between 7 and 9.30pm. I intend to hold 2 a month, ensuring I cover the counties of Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Buckinghamshire, but this can only happen if enough of you attend.
I can’t wait to see you at a venue near you soon.
